Confetti Terms of Service

Terms for the Confetti iPhone app. Effective August 17, 2026; also covers the owner-only Messages service.

Agreement, operator, and eligibility

These Terms are between you and Keith Kakadia, doing business as Confetti, for the Confetti iPhone app, its extensions, owner-only Messages service, controlled-access start pages, and related support pages. By using Confetti, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must permit your use. The initial public App Store release is intended for the United States; controlled testing may be offered by private invitation elsewhere.

What Confetti provides

Confetti helps an account owner remember birthdays, review upcoming dates, receive enabled owner reminders, prepare drafts, and explore multiple gift ideas. Messages is the primary conversation surface and the native iPhone app is the private control center.

You remain responsible for reviewing dates, recipients, drafts, reminder settings, product listings, availability, prices, and merchant information before acting. Confetti and AI-generated output can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.

Owner approval and acceptable use

Confetti may reply and send reminders to the verified owner after the owner starts the conversation and enables the relevant controls. Confetti does not autonomously contact birthday recipients, send a prepared draft to another person, purchase a gift, or complete merchant checkout.

You may not use Confetti to harass, impersonate, defraud, scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with the service, violate another person's privacy or rights, submit unlawful content, bypass private-access controls, or run abusive automation. You are responsible for the information you add about other people and for obtaining permission when required.

Confetti may suspend or limit access when reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, providers, or legal compliance.

Free launch and fair use

Confetti is free forever for launch. No auto-renewable subscription, paid tier, Stripe payment, or in-app purchase is required for the launch features. Legacy StoreKit files may remain in the codebase for historical testing and diagnostics, but their product identifiers are not active purchase options.

Free forever still needs fair-use guardrails: use is subject to reasonable security, messaging, AI, catalog, capacity, and abuse limits. Features may change, pause, or end. If paid features are introduced later, their price and terms will be shown before purchase.

Gifts, merchants, and affiliate handoffs

Gift suggestions are informational. Affiliate payout should not override recommendation quality. Confetti may earn affiliate revenue after an owner chooses a disclosed gift handoff, but recommendation ranking should consider fit, budget, availability, avoidances, feedback, and merchant quality before affiliate eligibility.

For supported Shopify gifts, Confetti may prepare an owner-requested cart, open a merchant-hosted checkout, and show redacted order or fulfillment status. Confetti does not submit payment, complete a purchase, place an order without your action, or control returns or fulfillment. Purchases remain between you and the merchant and are governed by the merchant's prices, policies, terms, and privacy practices.

Your content and third-party services

You keep ownership of information and content you submit. You permit Confetti to host, process, and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service under the Privacy Policy.

Apple, Sendblue, OpenRouter and selected model providers, Shopify, merchants, and other providers have separate terms and privacy practices. Confetti does not control third-party products or transactions.

Stopping use, changes, and support

You may stop using Confetti and delete local or backend account data through the app. Confetti may change or discontinue the service and will provide reasonable notice when practical. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date.

Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to an App Store download unless a custom EULA is later selected. Governing law, venue, dispute-resolution language, warranty exclusions, and liability limits remain subject to qualified legal review before broad public launch.
